Do I need planning approval to install solar panels?

Generally speaking, planning approval is not required to install solar photovoltaic systems, however, there are some exceptions, such as if your property is included on the heritage list. If you live in a community that is governed by a tiering agreement, you will need to obtain approval from a legal entity.
